Sibiu County to buy 13 more electric school minibusses

The Sibiu County Council requests non-refundable money for 13 more electric school minibusses. In the extraordinary meeting of the Sibiu County Council, convened on Thursday, September 7, the request for the purchase of 13 minibusses intended for the transport of students was submitted for approval. The money is provided by the Environmental Fund Administration.

 Sibiu County can apply, according to the number of existing students and the provisions of the Financing Guide, for financing of a maximum of RON 15 million (€3 million).

The value of an electric minibus is approximately €235,000, VAT included, and has a capacity of 16+1 seats.

Minibuses will be allocated to schools in the county depending on the number of students and the distance they have to travel from home to the educational unit.

For the renewal of the car, fleet intended for the transport of students in Sibiu County, the Sibiu County Council has already obtained, through PNRR, a non-refundable financing of RON 35.9 million (€7.18 million), through which 56 electric minibusses with a capacity of 8+1 seats and 16+1 seats. The new project aims to increase the number of ecological vehicles for school transport.
