Another 18 electric school minibusses will be purchased for students from Botoșani County.

"These minibusses come to complement the needs of Botoșani County. The Botosani County Council applied for and obtained funding from the PNRR for the purchase of electric minibusses. Also, today, in an extraordinary plenary meeting, we approved the application that we will submit for funding to the Environmental Fund to purchase another 18 school minibusses. We know that the need for minibusses is very high. As a county authority, we are looking for the best solutions to ensure the transportation of students", said Doina Federovici, president of the Botosani County Council.

The application prepared for the Environmental Fund has a value of RON 25 million (€5 million). 18 minibusses will be purchased, of which 2 for special schools and 16 for county schools.

Ineligible expenses will be covered by the county budget.

At the end of June, the County Council applied to the PNRR to obtain PNRR financing in the amount of €6.09 million, excluding VAT, for the purchase of 26 electric minibusses.

The financing request has been declared eligible, the financing contract will be signed and the procurement procedures will be started. In the case of this project, the ineligible expenses and the differences resulting from the implementation will be ensured by the County Council.
