KFC drive thru with PV panels opens in Romania

Green Forum
Sphera Franchise Group, which holds the franchise rights for KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell in Romania, has opened a new KFC Drive Thru in Galați.

This location marks a milestone for the company, being the first in its portfolio to feature photovoltaic panels.

Installed on the roof above the parking area, the solar panels have a total capacity of 47.5 kW. According to the company, these panels are expected to supply around half of the restaurant's total energy consumption.

The launch of the new restaurant also brings employment opportunities, with 45 new roles available, including kitchen crew, cashiers, and management positions such as restaurant manager and assistant manager.

Sphera operates its three core brands—KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell—under a franchise model in Romania, while managing KFC outlets abroad in both Moldova and Italy.
