Prahova County Council to buy 35 electric minibusses

The Prahova County Council is organizing an open auction through which it wants to buy non-polluting electric minibuses for the estimated amount of 30.17 million (€6.03 million) without VAT. It is about 33 electric minibuses with 16+1 seats and two electric minibuses with 8+1 seats, according to an announcement from SEAP. PNRR finances the project. School minibuses are mainly intended for the transport of students from isolated localities.

"The Ministry of Education as the Management Authority for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Development of the Network of green schools and the purchase of green minibuses aims to ensure the sustainability of pre-university education units through the transition to green schools and green mobility (electric minibuses). School minibuses are mainly intended for the transport of students from isolated localities. Ensuring some means of mobility for students from areas with a low population, facilitating their access to a quality education. The objectives of the call aim to improve the transport conditions for students, especially in isolated areas with a low population, by providing "green" (electric) school minibuses, ecological, friendly to the environment and with low energy consumption, thus facilitating the access of children and young people to education, by protecting the environment at the same time", the announcement shows.

The delivery term of the electric minibuses is established for a period of 12 months from the date of issuing the delivery order.

The companies that want to participate in the auction must prove that in the last 5 years, they have delivered products similar to those that are the subject of the contract, with a cumulative value of at least RON 10 million (€2 million), excluding VAT, at the level of one or more contracts, of which a contract to be supplied with electric vehicles intended for the public transport of people.

The deadline for sending offers is September 21, 2023, 3 p.m.
