Bucharest to buy 10 electric buses

Alina Oprea
The Bucharest Transport Company (STB), which belongs to Bucharest City Hall, consults the market for the leasing purchase of 100 12-meter electric buses, over a period of eight years, according to an announcement published in the Electronic Public Procurement System (SEAP). The purpose of the consultation is to obtain technical and commercial details regarding the purchase of electric buses from the 12 m range through financial leasing for a period of 96 months and operational leasing for a period of 96 months.

The determination of the estimated value through the purchase of financial leasing or operational leasing depending on the benefits includes any proposals or observations regarding aspects contained in the technical specification.

The estimate must also include the delivery, installation, and commissioning with all necessary permits of a fueling and charging station for a 100-vehicle operating location.

The electric bus will have a RAR type approval certificate (Romanian Auto Registry) or approval certificate granted by the competent authorities of the member states of the European Union, in the M3 category. The conditions stipulated by the EEC-UN regulations to which Romania has joined will be respected.

In addition to the 100 electric buses through leasing, the STB fleet could be increased by another 100 electric buses from the auction organized by Bucharest City Hall (PMB). Initially, the Turks from Karsan were awarded this contract, but the Turks from BMC filed an appeal. The "war of appeals" has also reached the Bucharest Court of Appeal (CAB).
