The GalicSud SRL company is building a photovoltaic park in Mehedinți County, Izvoru Bârzii commune, Halânga village, which will have over 27,000 photovoltaic panels and will cover an area of almost 200,000 sqm. The investment received a financing of €8 million from Libra Internet Bank. The photovoltaic panels will generate an electrical power of nearly 15 MW and an average annual energy of approximately 19,000 MWh, i.e. enough to cover the consumption required for approximately 10,000 homes (with an average consumption of 150 KWh/month). The GalicSud SRL company is owned by a group with experience in the field of renewable energy, with a portfolio of over 100 MW, composed of projects in various stages of development.

"Libra Internet Bank demonstrates, by financing this project of GalicSud SRL, that it has the necessary resources and expertise to contribute consistently to the development of the green energy sector in Romania. It is one of the missions we have undertaken, given that the increasing consumption of energy can be covered by non-polluting sources, and any investment in green energy is an investment in a better future", said Cristina Mahika -Voiconi, deputy general manager of Libra Internet Bank.

The return on investments in green energy is very good, ensuring sustainable and sustainable development of the community. And each MWh produced by a photovoltaic plant means 850 kilograms of carbon dioxide less in the atmosphere, as would be the case with a single MWh produced from coal.

"The project is of paramount importance to our society, as it is one of considerable scope, with positive and long-lasting effects for sustainability and sustainable development. That's why identifying a reliable partner like Libra Internet Bank facilitated the process we have to follow in order to build the photovoltaic park", say the representatives of GalicSud SRL.

Libra Internet Bank was established in 1996 in Bucharest. The bank specialized in offering products and services dedicated to liberal professions and companies in Real Estate and Agribusiness. Libra Internet Bank has a network of 55 branches.
