H.Essers builds first CO2-neutral warehouse for Agricover Distribution Romania

H.Essers announced the construction of its first CO2-neutral warehouse spanning 10,000 mp at high Seveso standards for Agricover Distribution in Romania.

The company is expanding its presence in Romania by building a new warehouse for crop protection products and seeds for Agricover, a key player in the Romanian agribusiness market. This development, situated on H.Essers' high Seveso site in Bolintin Deal, adds 10,000 mp of warehousing capacity, enhancing Agricover's logistics capabilities and deepening the partnership between the two companies.

Focused on compliance and centralization, Agricover and H.Essers initiated their collaboration in 2023, with H.Essers offering logistics services including storage and handling. This construction project marks a significant milestone in their partnership, aiming to continuously improve services tailored to Agricover's specific requirements, particularly in compliance, safety, and customer service. Jeroen Fabry, Business Unit Manager at 

H.Essers, emphasizes, "The expansion of our site near Bucharest goes beyond adding warehousing space; it's about enhancing our services for Agricover and optimizing their supply chain."

Expected to be operational by August 2024, the new warehouse will centralize Agricover Distribution's logistics operations on H.Essers' high Seveso site in Bolintin Deal—the largest of its kind in Romania. This warehouse is part of the fourth phase of H.Essers' site expansion, which has seen significant growth since 2013, evolving from bare land to 53,000 mp of warehouses, including 20,000 mp dedicated to hazardous chemicals.
