Depanero sees growth in the refurbished phone market

People are no longer throwing away their phones when they break and prefer to repair them, says Irina Mincinopschi, General Manager of Depanero. She talked to Green Forum about the company's strategy in the area of sustainability, the types of CSR projects that the company supports, and the advantages of using solar energy. Many electronic products nearing the end of their life, like computers, TVs, printers, refrigerators, etc., can be reused, refurbished, or recycled. Irina Mincinopschi also says that, in 2022, the company reached a volume of 5 million repairs carried out.

G7 nations set to expand solar and wind power capacity

G7 ministers finish two days of meetings on Japan's climate, energy, and environmental policy. The G7 countries set the urgent need to reduce global GHG emissions by around 43 percent by 2030. The members pledged to increase offshore wind capacity by 150 GW by 2030 collectively and solar capacity to more than 1TW.

Etem Gestamp signs cross-border wind power deal with Rezolv

Etem Gestamp, the Sofia-based joint venture between Viohalco Group and Spain's Gestamp Group focused on aluminium extrusion and processing for the automotive industry, and Rezolv Energy, the Actis-backed independent power producer, have signed a 10-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) in Bulgaria. The VPPA will see Etem Gestamp buy electricity from Rezolv Energy's 461MW 'Vifor' wind farm, which is about to come onstream in Buzău County, Romania. It is the first cross-border wind PPA that has been publicly announced in Bulgaria.
