Kaufland Romania launches service dedicated to charging electric cars

Green Forum
Kaufland Romania has launched E-Mobility, the project through which Kaufland Card owners with electric cars can charge their vehicles at one of the charging stations in their favorite store's parking lot.

E-Mobility, the new feature available in the Kaufland app, can be used at over 140 charging stations within the store network, located in Bucharest and across the country. To charge their cars, customers need to follow a few simple steps: enter the Kaufland app, access the E-Mobility button, choose the charging station from the app, select the appropriate connector from the store's parking lot, and ensure that they have correctly entered their personal and card details in the app for payment. Additionally, the charging process requires withholding a sum of 150 lei, with the difference to be refunded within three working days if the charging does not cover the total amount.

Once the payment is made, the customer will receive the electronic invoice in the app. All charging stations are exclusively powered by 100% green electricity.

Each Kaufland station offers a charging capacity of up to 22 kW AC or 60 kW DC, using standard Type 2, CHAdeMO, and CCS charging plugs. Depending on the vehicle, it is possible to charge the battery 100% during the shopping visit.
