Four recharging stations for electric cars to be installed in Bihor County

Alina Oprea
The Bihor County Council approved the feasibility study for the location of four recharging stations for electric vehicles. The four stations would be located in the following localities: Oșorhei, Sântandrei, Salonta, and Gurbediu. According to the feasibility study, the total value of the "Alternative fuel filling stations" investment is RON1.82 million (€364,000), including VAT.

"Electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles have become an option to the classic methods of transport, especially the individual one, and the Bihor County Council wants, through this project, to encourage the purchase of electric cars, promote eco-driving and help create a cleaner and more sustainable environment. Thus, it is part of the European and international context of cooperation regarding the defense of principles and the implementation of legislation in the field of environmental protection", announced the Bihor County Council.

The documentation proposes the establishment of four electric recharging stations consisting of two recharging points each, powered by the same delivery point from the public distribution network, from which one recharging point allows multistandard charging in direct current, at a power of 50 kW and a point which allows electric cars to be charged in alternating current at a power of 22 kW.

Financing will be provided with European funds, through the North-West Regional Program 2021-2027.
