Unicredit Bank Romania consumes 100% renewable energy in its offices

Green Forum
Since the beginning of this year, all UniCredit Bank offices have consumed 100% renewable energy, supplied by the company Renovatio Trading. The last few years have been marked by debates and discussions about electricity prices and new investments in renewable energy sources.

„We remain committed to this approach through concrete actions and will continue to support the transition to a sustainable economy, as we all want it. As part of our commitment to play a central role in facilitating the transition to a more sustainable economy, in line with our strategy and strategic plan to implement ESG principles, UniCredit Bank supports its companies and partners in their efforts to increase efficiency and achieve energy independence. Specifically, the bank has accelerated the provision of financing for investment projects aimed at making electricity consumption more efficient, including the installation of photovoltaic panels for its clients, companies in various sectors”, said Mihaela Lupu, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board UniCredit Bank.

At the same time, UniCredit Bank provides financing for investment projects in new solar renewable energy production capacity, projects with a positive impact on Romania's transition to clean energy. Among the projects completed in the last period is the €39.3 million financing to Comcris Energy SRL, a subsidiary of the Vienna-based renewable electricity generation company Enery.
