E.ON Energie Romania has completed the construction and installation of a photovoltaic energy generation system for the Printmasters company, from Maramureş County, as part of a partnership concluded this year. The value of the investment is almost €500,000. The plant was installed in the town of Cicârlău, in Maramureș County, and will annually produce over 500 MWh of electricity. The energy taken in the beneficiary's self-consumption generates an energy independence of 36%.

"Over 1,000 photovoltaic modules have been installed on one of the production halls in the town of Cicârlău (Maramureş County), and, through this system, Printmasters will annually produce 543 MWh, which is equivalent to 36% of the electricity needed for its own consumption", shows a press release from E.ON Energie Romania.

Printmasters will reduce its CO2 emissions by over 100 tonnes per year.

"Each newly installed photovoltaic plant takes us one step closer to what we want: a greener future and a responsible and sustainable consumption of resources. The trust we receive from our collaborators, through the large number of requests for solutions for photovoltaic energy, honors us but also obliges us, at the same time, to offer clients, natural or legal persons alike, quality services, adapted to their needs and expectations", said Claudia Griech, general director of E.ON Energie Romania.

For his part, Jacques de Boer, general manager of Printmasters, mentioned that, through this partnership, the company he leads wants to expand renewable energy sources by installing photovoltaic panels that will provide green energy for our production lines.

"E.ON Energie Romania is recognized as one of the leaders in the field of renewable energy solutions and, sharing this commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, this collaboration was the natural choice for us. Our values - respect, responsibility, results - are reflected in all aspects of the business, through social responsibility and commitment to the environment, with a positive impact on the local community," said Jacques de Boer.

E.ON provided the beneficiary company with the entire investment project for energy efficiency, from consulting and customized design to implementation and financing.

In the non-residential segment, E.ON Energie Romania's portfolio of photovoltaic generation projects currently includes over 330 completed projects, with a total value of €58 million. The total production of photovoltaic energy is over 75 GWh/year, and CO2 emissions are reduced by approximately 20,140 tons annually.
