Engie Romania and Ford Romania to promote electric vehicle usage and mobility

Green Forum
Engie Romania and Ford Romania Services have established a national strategic partnership to encourage the use of electric vehicles and promote electric mobility, while also facilitating the installation of home charging stations for customers.

Through this partnership, Engie offers Ford customers who purchase electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles the option to choose from a variety of charging station models provided by partners.

"Compatible with any type of electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, the charging stations are available in 7.4 or 22 kW power options. This allows for vehicle charging up to eight times faster compared to charging with a standard outlet, and offers several customizable features, such as integration with a dedicated app for smart home management of the charger or optimizing energy consumption for efficient charging," Engie stated in a release.

Engie Romania ensures the delivery and installation of the charging station at the customer's home or any preferred location through its team of experts.

"Engie Romania's strategy centers on accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral economy by 2045. We focus on developing and implementing innovative and efficient solutions for our clients, encouraging them to actively reduce carbon emissions in the mobility sector. Our collaboration with Ford Romania Services is a significant example of our strong commitment to providing environmentally friendly solutions," said Cristina Râmbu, Marketing & Solutions Design Director at Engie Romania, in the statement.

By providing environmentally friendly mobility solutions, the two companies aim to jointly contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions, combining economic performance with a positive impact on people and the planet, according to the document.

"Ford is focusing its efforts on launching several electric models in Europe shortly, aiming for our entire range of passenger and commercial vehicles to be fully electric by 2035. The partnership with Engie Romania facilitates Ford customers' access to smart charging solutions and complements the existing national infrastructure options," stated Roxana Capata, Managing Director of Ford Romania Services.

The Engie Romania group of companies is active in the distribution and supply of natural gas, production from renewable sources, and supply of electricity, as well as green solutions and technical services for natural gas installations and heating systems.
