Polish firms to build offshore wind cable vessel

Green Forum
Poland's Tele-Fonika Kable (TFK) and the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on building a cable laying vessel (CLV) for installing and maintaining subsea cables in offshore wind farms, primarily in the Baltic Sea.

The two companies formalized their cooperation on offshore wind projects within Poland's exclusive economic zone in the Baltic Sea, with future plans to expand internationally.

The initiative also includes developing a support vessel to assist with servicing and operations in the Baltic Sea and other areas such as the North Sea.

A new entity will be established to oversee the CLV's development, ensuring the project's efficient execution.

According to TFK, the investment will emphasize local resources and content, strengthening the role of Polish shipyards and domestic businesses in the global supply chain.
