Geely Auto to launch EVs in Poland

Green Forum
Geely Auto will enter the Polish market through a strategic alliance with Jameel Motors, aiming to bring its latest new energy vehicles (NEVs) to local consumers for the first time.

This move aligns with the rising demand for electric mobility in Poland, where sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) surged by 41% year-over-year in February 2025.

Under this agreement, Jameel Motors will initially offer two models: the all-electric Geely EX5, a state-of-the-art SUV, and a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the compact SUV category. Both vehicles are based on Geely's GEA (Global Intelligent Electric Architecture) platform, celebrated for its cutting-edge design, safety, and intelligent features. The launch of the first model is expected in Q3 2025.

Jasmmine Wong, CEO of Jameel Motors, commented: “With this expansion of our NEV offerings, we're empowering Polish consumers with more sustainable and versatile transportation options. Our partnership with Geely Auto reflects our shared commitment to innovation and cleaner mobility solutions.”

Geely Auto, which recorded sales of over 2.17 million vehicles in 2024, currently has a presence in more than 80 global markets. The company places a strong emphasis on research and development, employing over 30,000 engineers across facilities in China, Sweden, and the UK. Among its latest advancements is the launch of an AI-powered intelligent vehicle system.
