Dacia Foundation launches grant programme

Green Forum
The Dacia Foundation for Romania (FDpR) officially announced its launch, alongside the launch of its grant programme “Mobility Matters”.

The Foundation aims to support and inspire an inclusive society by facilitating physical and social mobility for individuals who need resources and mobility solutions to fulfil their potential and improve their quality of life. In 2025, the Foundation will operate through the “Mobility Matters” grant programme.

“Mobility Matters” is the Foundation's grant programme dedicated to non-governmental organisations, which will be able to access funding of up to €30,000 for projects targeting three key areas: access to education, the labour market, and culture. Projects can have a duration between six months and one year, with the programme's total budget amounting to €1,000,000. Grant-winning projects will be selected by an independent jury.

The mission of the Dacia Foundation for Romania is to support a society where physical and social mobility acts as a development catalyst, contributing to its vision of a Romania that unlocks and nurtures its human potential.

“We believe strongly in the mission of this Foundation, which is why it felt natural for it to bear our brand's name. We share the same values and the same goal: to make mobility more accessible—an essential element for independence, access to opportunities, and social inclusion,” said Mihai Bordeanu, General Manager of Automobile Dacia, representing the Foundation's funder.

“This is a key moment for us, as the launch of the Dacia Foundation for Romania and the ‘Mobility Matters' grant programme marks a significant step towards supporting initiatives that have a real impact in communities. Mobility, in all its forms, is the key to accessing education, jobs, and culture. FDpR aims to support precisely those innovative solutions that foster a more inclusive society,” said Adrian Curaj, Chair of the Board of the Dacia Foundation for Romania.

Cătălina Murariu, the Foundation's Executive Director, added: “Through this initiative, we aim to offer organisations in Romania the opportunity to implement innovative projects that will improve the quality of life for vulnerable individuals. The Foundation will support solutions that ensure equitable access to education, integration into the labour market, and access to culture for all social groups.”
