At Cluj Arena, 10 recharging stations are to be installed, 20 recharging points and several 20 parking spaces will be created. The installed power related to one station will be 72 kW, for eight of them, and 97 kW, for two stations, resulting in a total of 770 kW. The total value of the project is RON 2.56 million (€512,000), including VAT, Cluj County Council has announced.

"The Cluj County Council and the Environment Fund Administration signed the project financing contract: Development of the infrastructure for non-polluting road transport vehicles from an energy point of view: recharging stations for electric vehicles at the Cluj Arena Stadium in Cluj-Napoca", announces the CJ of Cluj.

"Electrified" cars, namely electric ones (100% and plug-in hybrids), as well as full hybrids (which also have electric propulsion without charging from an external source), ended up holding a market share of 24.4%, in Romania, at the level of 2023.

"I am glad that we can offer these new facilities in an extremely accessible location like our stadium. This investment will have a significant impact on the quality of life of the people of Cluj but also in terms of protecting the environment. In this way, we will make the infrastructure necessary for electric cars even more accessible and we will additionally contribute to the promotion of the use of ecological means of transport", says Alin Tișe, president of the Cluj County Council.
