TotalEnergies finalizes wind park in Poland

Green Forum
TotalEnergies has officially launched the 20-MW Gluchow 2 wind park, marking the completion of its 40-MW wind power development in Poland's Lodz province.

Following the award of the concession for Gluchow 2, the company organized a ceremony to acknowledge the efforts of its contractors, advisors, and financing partner. “This is another step forward in TotalEnergies' goal to reach 100 GW of renewable capacity by 2030,” said Magdalena Sobczynska, a board member of TotalEnergies Polska, in a social media update.

Construction of Gluchow 2 began in 2023 and involved installing ten 2-MW wind turbines supplied by Vestas. The wind farm is expected to produce 58 GWh of low-emission electricity each year, cutting CO2 emissions by approximately 37,000 tonnes annually.

The first stage of the project, Gluchow 1, also with a 20-MW capacity, was commissioned in 2014 and operates under a PPA with Polenergia Obrot.
