Romanians to access up to €402 million in PV funding in 2024

Green Forum
The Romanian Ministry of Environment, Waters, and Forests, through the Environmental Fund Administration, has decided to increase the budget for the Green House Photovoltaic Program to €402 million in 2024, up from €352 million in 2023.

The government approved the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) budget for the current year.

Thus, significant funds will be directed towards the "Water and Sewerage" Programs, which will benefit from €301 million for the establishment, expansion, or modernization of water supply systems/sewerage systems, and Rabla Plus, where funding has increased to one billion lei.

AFM has earmarked €50 million for launching a funding session aimed at registering religious units, public institutions, and non-profit legal entities in the field of social assistance who wish to install photovoltaic panel systems for the buildings where they operate.

In 2024, a new funding session will be organized in the Program for Increasing Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings, due to the numerous requests in this regard, with a budget allocation of €120 million.

For registrations under the Rabla Classic Program, €60 million will be allocated.

The Rabla Program for stoves, which provides support for the purchase of heating appliances for residential heating, in mountainous areas, will be launched for the first time in 2024, with a budget of €100 million.
