Eurowind Energy completes Teiuș 60.2 MW solar station

Green Forum
The Danish company Eurowind Energy, a developer and operator of wind, solar, and hybrid energy projects, has completed the construction of the electrical transformation station and commenced the installation of photovoltaic panels at Teiuș Park.

This project, located in Alba County, is set to become operational by mid-October 2024. It is projected to generate approximately 103.59 GWh annually, reducing carbon emissions by 37,125 tons each year, as announced by the company.

The internal transformation station, a crucial part of the Teiuș photovoltaic park, was acquired through a competitive procurement process won by Enevo Group SRL and was constructed to the highest standards of quality and safety. The contract included the transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of the transformation station and the 110/20 kV, 80 MVA power transformer. These components will facilitate the efficient integration of the generated energy into the national grid, supporting Romania's objectives to increase the proportion of renewable energy in its energy mix.

The beginning of structural work for the photovoltaic panel installation marks a significant milestone in this ambitious project. With a total installed capacity of 60.2 MW, the Teiuș photovoltaic park will produce enough green energy to power 25,000 households, thereby reducing CO2 emissions and promoting environmental sustainability, based on an estimated household electricity consumption of 4,000 kWh per year.

Funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the project is being developed by TEIUȘ SOLAR and aims to combat climate change by boosting the production of renewable solar energy in Alba County by 60.2 MW.

Eurowind Energy, headquartered in Hobro, Denmark, operates wind, solar, and hybrid energy projects. The company employs over 601 people across 15 European countries and the USA. Their mission is to invest in renewable energy projects to create a future powered entirely by renewable sources.
