The Ilfov County Council will build a photovoltaic plant in Cernica. Energy costs will thus be reduced by 90% in the buildings managed by CJ Ilfov. Hubert Thuma, the president of CJ Ilfov, announced that he approved, in a council meeting, the construction of a photovoltaic plant in Cernica. He wants to build the photovoltaic plant with money from the Modernization Fund, of the Ministry of Energy.

"The energy produced there will be for self-consumption, in all the buildings managed by us. This means that in the future in our buildings, CJ Ilfov headquarters, DGASPC headquarters, Ilfov County Hospital, Obstetrics-Gynecology Hospital, and Bălăceanca, energy costs will be enormously reduced", says the president CJ Ilfov.

The project worth over RON 14 million (€2.8 million) will be submitted as soon as the financing line opens, next month.

"After approval, we will also start the procedures for the actual construction, which will last one year. Energy from renewable sources means not only low costs but also the annual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions", says Hubert Thuma.
