Green Forum
Greenvolt has partnered with BYD to deploy 400MW of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity across two projects in Poland.

The agreement covers the design and operation of assets with a combined capacity of up to 1.6GWh at two locations: Turosn Koscielna (200MW/800MWh) and Nowa Wies Ełcka (200MW/800MWh).

Both projects have secured capacity market contracts and are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

This collaboration with BYD Energy Storage is part of Greenvolt's broader strategy to expand its BESS portfolio, with a total pipeline capacity of 2.6GW. The company is also actively exploring further investment opportunities in other markets.

"Greenvolt Power continues to strengthen its position in large-scale energy storage, and this agreement represents a major step in advancing our project pipeline.

Beyond its technological benefits, energy storage is crucial for the long-term feasibility and profitability of our investments," said Radek Nowak, CEO of Greenvolt Power.

The first phase of the contract, already underway, involves constructing power substation infrastructure. Deliveries for both projects will commence in Q4 2025, with completion slated for Q1 2026.
