In addition to loans, homeowners who meet energy-saving criteria may receive up to 20 percent cashback, funded by the European Union (EU) through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF). Japan and the

EU will provide technical and policy support to UniCredit Bank and residential sector enterprises.

Amina Mahmutović, President of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank, stated: “Our activities are aligned with our clients' needs, and we are pleased to offer them opportunities and support their journey toward a greener future by financing energy-efficient projects. Our goal is to promote energy efficiency by constructing and modernizing residential buildings, apartments, and structures."

Manuela Naessl, Head of the EBRD Resident Office in Sarajevo, commented: "This credit line will assist households in Bosnia and Herzegovina in investing in energy efficiency measures, reducing their carbon footprint, and improving their living standards, all while lowering their energy bills."
