Parapet starts major PV project in Giurgiu, Romania

Parapet, an EPC solutions provider in the renewable energy sector, has initiated work on one of Romania's largest photovoltaic plants in Ghimpați, Giurgiu County.

Supported by a comprehensive fleet of vehicles and equipment, Parapet's specialized teams are handling the mechanical operations for the 108 MW project. This includes site organization, land preparation, topographical staking of each support pole, and installing the support structures with advanced hydraulic drills to ensure proper foundation depth. The work also involves assembling the galvanized steel structure and installing photovoltaic panels. According to the company, the plant is expected to generate 145 GW/h of renewable energy annually, reducing tens of thousands of tons of CO2 emissions each year.

PARAPET, with offices in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, and Nuremberg, is a construction company specializing in renewable energy and road safety. Established in 2012, it has achieved 1 GW of clean energy installations across 15 European countries, offering EPC as well as mechanical and civil engineering solutions.
