The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provided backing for the expansion endeavors of Feka Automotive, a Serbian company specializing in automotive lighting. With a €15 million loan, Feka aims to enhance its operations and amplify the availability of dependable lighting solutions globally, bolstering its existing contracts with major car manufacturers like Toyota, Volkswagen, and Stellantis.

Utilizing the EBRD loan, Feka, a subsidiary of Turkish Feka Otomotiv A.S., intends to erect a modern, energy-efficient production facility adjacent to its primary site near Cuprija in central Serbia. This funding will facilitate the installation of rooftop solar panels and the integration of cutting-edge, energy-saving production lines and equipment.

The upcoming production facilities are engineered to attain B-rated energy efficiency, surpassing national standards. Furthermore, the project encompasses the adoption of advanced production technology promising heightened energy and operational efficiency. Through these advancements, Feka strives to markedly curtail its energy consumption.

EBRD stands as a pivotal investor in Serbia, having injected over €9 billion across 353 projects, predominantly in support of the private sector. In Serbia, the Bank's focus is directed towards bolstering private-sector competitiveness, fostering the transition to green energy, and nurturing sustainable infrastructure development.
