VSB has launched operations at a 41.6 MW wind farm in the Silesian municipality of Pietrowice Wielkie, Poland. This new facility is expected to cut approximately 44,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually and deliver clean electricity to around 36,000 households in the southern Silesia region.

The Racibórz wind farm comprises 13 Nordex N117 turbines, each with a capacity of 3.2 MW. Beyond developing standalone wind and solar farms, the VSB Group is increasingly focusing on hybrid projects in Poland that integrate wind, solar, and battery storage technologies. This approach enhances grid stability and optimizes renewable energy output.

Hubert Kowalski, Managing Director of VSB Poland, noted: “Our current wind and solar initiatives highlight the strong potential of the Polish market. We are advancing this momentum by combining technologies and integrating storage systems to boost supply security and energy system flexibility.”

Dr. Felix Grolman, CEO of the VSB Group, added: “Bringing the Racibórz wind farm online marks a significant step toward a climate-friendly energy future for Poland and reinforces our position as an innovation leader in renewable energy.”
