Waldevar Energy has begun construction on two utility-scale photovoltaic parks for Doral Energy in Tudor Vladimirescu (Brăila County) and Ștefan Vodă (Călărași County), Romania. The projects will deliver 14 MWp of installed capacity using around 25,000 photovoltaic panels.
These projects mark Doral Energy's first investments in Romania. The Israeli company operates globally with a portfolio exceeding 15 GWp and is expanding its presence in Central and Eastern Europe to accelerate the energy transition.
Waldevar Energy serves as EPC contractor for the entire programme, managing engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning. Both projects are expected to complete within 12 months and will create local employment opportunities whilst contributing to economic development in surrounding communities.
"Partnering with Doral Energy confirms our ability to deliver projects that contribute to strengthening Romania's energy security," said Nicu Constantin, COO of Waldevar Energy. "We aim to create lasting value for local communities and develop new projects that enhance the country's energy infrastructure."
Guy Sagi, CEO of Doral Europe, added: "These projects represent an important milestone in our international expansion strategy. In Waldevar Energy, we have found a strong partner with deep technical expertise. We intend to continue investing in Romania and contribute to local generation capacity growth."
