Global law firm Dentons has advised OX2 on acquiring three wind power projects totaling 235 MW in Romania from Future Power. The projects, located in Vaslui and Vrancea counties, are expected to be commissioned between 2028 and 2030, subject to permitting.
The acquisition will increase OX2's portfolio in Romania to more than 1.1 GW. Dentons provided legal support throughout all stages, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, drafting and negotiation of transfer documentation, and signing.
Partner and Head of the Energy practice in Romania, Claudiu Munteanu-Jipescu, led the team. The team included senior associate Angelica Pintilie, associates Alin Dimache and Carolina Mitea from Energy; partner Bogdan Papandopol, counsel Luiza Onofrei and associate Diana Anghel from Real Estate; and associate Iulia Titirisca from Competition.
"We are honored to support OX2 in consolidating its position in one of the fastest-growing renewable energy markets in Europe," Munteanu-Jipescu said. "This transaction highlights the expertise of Dentons' team in Romania, as well as our ability to provide integrated legal advice on renewable energy projects, supporting our clients in capitalizing on the opportunities that the Romanian market offers."
