Raiffeisen Bank Romania and Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) jointly financed the development of Eurowind Energy's photovoltaic park in Teiuș, Alba County. The facility, inaugurated at the end of April, benefited from a total investment loan exceeding €28.7 million.

The two banks are contributing equally to the financing, which covers 60% of the project's development costs. The total investment amounts to approximately €55 million. In addition to the loan, the project has secured €15 million in non-reimbursable funds through Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), under the Green Energy component.

The financing package also includes €3.8 million for VAT-related expenses and other tailored financial solutions dedicated to supporting the Teiuș project.

“With the Teiuș solar park financing, we continue to actively support Romania's energy transition. This is a complex project featuring solar generation with tracking systems and will soon integrate a storage solution,” said Cătălin Cepișcă, Senior Director of the Energy, Metals and Utilities Department at Raiffeisen Bank Romania.

Raiffeisen Bank Romania and RBI acted as Mandated Lead Arrangers and Lenders. Raiffeisen Bank Romania also serves as Security Agent and Account Bank.

The Teiuș photovoltaic park is operated by Danish company Eurowind Energy in partnership with Teiuș Solar S.R.L.
