Dentons, a global law firm, has played a pivotal role in the Romanian renewable energy sector by advising Sousol Holdings Ltd. on the successful sale of a 54 MW wind power project to Engie Romania.

The project, located in Constanța County, was transferred at the ready-to-build stage, having secured all required construction permits.

The Dentons team provided end-to-end legal support, covering due diligence, transaction structuring, and the drafting and negotiation of transfer documentation, along with guidance through signing and closing.

The legal team was led by Claudiu Munteanu-Jipescu, Partner and Head of the Energy practice in Bucharest, with contributions from counsels Luiza Onofrei and Elena Vlasceanu, senior associates Angelica Pintilie, Carolina Baloleanu, and Andreea Predescu, as well as associates Alin Dimache, Isabela Gheorghe, Diana Ceparu, Alice Neagu, and Geanina Anghel.

“We are grateful for the trust placed in us and proud to have supported Sousol Holdings in successfully reaching this milestone,” stated Claudiu Munteanu-Jipescu. “This transaction reflects the sustained investor appetite for renewable energy and further strengthens Romania's role as a strategic market in the region.”
